The commission was to produce a group of paintings to give a distinctive atmosphere to a modern city apartment. The interior design of the apartment is contemporary, with an emphasis on light colours, natural materials and simplicity.

Large rooms and windows gave the apartment plenty of light and wall space. Simple clear designs were used to complement the surroundings.

The blue landscape painting is a triptych measuring ten feet across. The client wanted a painting which reminded him of the Italian Alps, skiing and beaches. The red abstract design was chosen from a painting on the website and modified to suit the space. Smaller blue abstracts were used in the bathroom to introduce some flowing natural lines into an area of geometric lines.
