The paintings are influenced by the St Ives artists, Terry Frost and Patrick Heron and the environment of the Penwith Peninsula.

They are also informed by some of the latest developments in neuroscience and the work of Professor Semir Seki.

Additional input is provided by the natural world - patterns such as those found on a lizards throat, a butterfly wing and a cloud formation of an incoming front.
